This role is integral to our asphalt manufacturing facility, involving testing and reporting on asphalt and aggregate materials, as well as contributing to the operation and maintenance of the asphalt plant.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect samples for testing, both at the asphalt plant and in the field.
  • Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
  • Inspect, test, measure, and record materials for conformance to specifications, including gradations, moisture contents, asphalt contents, and specific gravity.
  • Mark items and notify the team of test details.
  • Write test or inspection reports describing results and recommendations.
  • Assist the team with maintenance of the asphalt plant, equipment, and grounds.
  • Assist the team with plant operation and truck loading.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Aggregate Level 1 and/or HMA Testing Level 1 not required but preferred.
